A re-formed country club will hold its first event to raise funds for a charity in memory of an 18-year-old who died from meningitis.
Country music fans Ray and Jackie Herbert are reviving their club in Carterton.
The husband and wife team, who founded the Windrush Valley Country Music Club 15 years ago, is making a comeback with the first gig on Friday, June 1, at Carterton Town Football Club.
The couple have been persuaded to revive it under the new name of The Broken Spoke. Profits from the first show, with Wantage four piece band "Union Revival," will be going to the Meningitis Trust in memory of student Kevin Mott, who died of the disease.
Tickets, priced £4, are available from Ray or Jackie on 01993 703310.
