The Oxfordshire Football Association have been invited to supply the ball boys/girls for this year's 'One to One' Charity Shield match between Manchester United and Liverpool at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, on August 12.
As with the FA Cup final, this will be the first occasion the Charity Shield has been played outside England.
The boys and girls have to be aged between 12 and 16 and between 5ft 2ins and 5ft 6ins tall.
Boys and girls clubs and being invited to submit the name of one child to the OFA.
A spokesman for the Oxfordshire FA said: "It is a great honour for our county to be invited to fulfill this task and for the lucky children it will be a great experience.
"Opportunities like this do not come every season and although we have supplied ball boys in the past, this is the first time for such a high-profile game."
