Pupils from two schools paraded at the start of an afternoon of dancing.
The tradition started at the turn of the century and has taken place at Church Green, Witney, every year since, apart from the war years.

About 300 children from the town's Batt Primary and St Mary's Infant schools, pictured, were led on the procession by a May Queen, jesters and hobby horse.
They carried posies of flowers which were sold to their families, friends and onlookers to raise money for the NSPPC.
