Bicester's team of 16 boys came fourth at the Westminster Lodge Stadium, St Albans, in their second match in Division Southern 2 North of the McDonalds Young Athletes League.
The opposition came from Highgate, London Heathside, St Albans, Aylesbury, Watford and High Wycombe.
Many athletes were making debuts in new age groups and the team performed beyond all expectations, setting 30 perosnal bests, including six national graded performances across all three age groups.
In the under 17 team, sprinter Daniel Oliver excelled with graded performances in the 100m, 200m and triple jump resulting in two firsts and a second place.
The under 15 squad, which was the largest on the day, were not to be outdone, with Joe Stachoviak winning the 1500m in a pb and grade 4 time. David Broadhead produced a 1.45m grade 4 jump to secure place in the high jump.
Three of the four-strong U13 squad were making first appearances for the club in this league. There was a tremendous shot put by James Broadhead, who came through to win the A string with a grade 4 put.
