Woodstock Harriers successfully defended both the senior and veteran team trophies at the 45th international Isle of Wight Marathon on Saturday.
Regarded as one of the toughest marathon events in the UK calendar, the race runs from Ryde to Newport, through Shanklin to Sandown and back to Ryde, and features at least ten testing climbs.
Running in his fourth marathon in six weeks, Simon Lund returned in 2.45.57 for third place, with GB international Ultra man Greg Dell fifth in 2.50.43.
Previous race winner Tom Glare came 13th in a time of 3.04.00 to secure first-team honours.
Paul Taylor, another member of Woodstcok's Ultra squad, clocked 3.08.06 and, together with Martin Townsend, who ran 3.16.56, and Glare, took the veteran team award.
Super-vets Mike Shipway and Fenwick Tunley also ran well over the tortuous course to register 3.22.06 and 3.31.16 respectively.
*The Modern Pentathlon Association of Great Britain held their National Triathlon Championship at Wolverhampton on Sunday, and 13-year-old Katie Kruczko of Chislehampton, Oxford, won her age group against 75 other qualifiers from around the country.
She is a member of the City of Oxford Swimming Club. The disciplines involved were pistol shooting - where she was the winner - swimming and running.
