Veteran athlete David Kuester is looking for sponsors to help him compete in the world veterans pentathlon championships in Australia.
Kuester, 57, is hoping to fly out to the tournament in Brisbane in July and needs to raise around £1,700 to cover expenses.
"Two years ago, I was in the world championships at Gateshead, which of course was much cheaper. I was ninth in my event last time," said Kuester, a print manager for Cherwell District Council.
Kuester, a member of Bicester AC, said: "I used to be a hurdler in my younger days and I am a qualified coach for track and field events."
