Audiences in fast-developing Didcot might be able to relate to a play being performed at the civic hall this week.
Didcot Phoenix Drama Group is staging Willy Russell's One for the Road, about life in the 1980s on a new housing development.
The comedy concerns two couples - the Cains and the Fullers - during a Saturday night dinner party when tensions begin to rise on the eve of Dennis Cain's 35th birthday.
Jane and Roger are played by Vicky Metcalfe and Andrew DownDennis, played by Keith Norman, is entering a mid-life crisis and has become fed-up with Tupperware parties and living on phase two of the estate. His snobbish wife, Pauline, is played by Keith's real-life wife, Kate.
The production is directed by Bob Philbrook, who is also partly responsible for the design of the £1,300 set.
It will run from May 24 to 26, with performances starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets, which cost £4.50 and £3.50 for concessions, are on sale at Didcot Civic Hall box office on 01235 815924 or at the door.
