Members of an Abingdon canoe club are preparing to embark for France and the white water challenge of a lifetime.
Nine members of the Kingfisher Canoe Club in Abingdon will leave on Friday, May 24, for the Alps and a "white water" challenge against their French twin club the Argentan Canoe and Kayak Club.
The trip is being organised by Manu Flouvat, who until last year was a member of the French national white water racing team.
The Kingfisher club's twinning officer David Surman said: "This is a great opportunity for us to experience some great white water."
The Kingfisher club is also running introductory courses for adults. For details call Dave Surman on 01865 373115.
