Seven-year-old Elliot Vale got a taste of life as a blacksmith when he helped make a poker at a historic mill open day.
Elliot was among visitors to historic Combe Mill, the former Blenheim estate sawmills near Witney.

As well as the working forge, a beam engine was in action and there were displays of hand tools, tower clocks and wood turning.
The mill will be open again on August 19 and October 21.
