Hadden Hill opened up the Division 1 title race in the Shaw and Co Oxfordshire Foursomes League by shattering the unbeaten record of leaders Ellesborough.

Despite playing away and losing the top match 6 & 5, Hadden Hill pulled off a shock 2-1 success.

Mark Greenwood and Leon Beer triumphed 3 & 2 in the second match, before Richard Lee and Steve Webb sealed the victory with a 2 & 1 success in the decider.

Oxford City moved into second place with a notable 2-1 win away to Frilford Heath.

Matthew Haddy and Matt Briggs won the top match for Frilford, but City's Clive Bowler and Ian Bound, and Andy Hooker and Peter Desmond eased home in the other two matches.

Rye Hill went top of Division 3 with a 3-0 whitewash over Drayton Park.
