The family of hit-and-run victim Ross Doyle today told of their optimism and anger as the hunt for his killer continues.
It is nearly three weeks since Thames Valley Police offered £10,000 to anyone whose evidence helps convict the driver who hit the nine-year-old and left him to die.
Detectives have received more than 30 calls from the public since dedicated phone lines were set up on the day the award was announced.
The numbers were due to be cancelled after a matter of days but are now being kept open indefinitely.
Ross's mum Cheryl, 38, of Redwood Close, Greater Leys, said: "Things are still very much up in the air. I really thought that something would have happened by now with the reward being offered but it still might, it's still early days. Whether that call is received in the next few weeks, months or even years is anyone's guess, and I still think it will as the reward will not go away.
"But I am getting angry now, thinking that whoever did this is still walking around. It's hard for us all and my other three children are feeling both angry that a reward had to be offered in the first place and that no-one has been caught.
"But we will have to keep playing the waiting game, living in hope all the time that the phone is going to ring with new information."
It is now more than five months since nine-year-old Ross was killed by a stolen Vauxhall Astra on Pegasus Road, Blackbird Leys. The crash happened at 8.45pm on December 13. Police revealed last week that up to three passengers were in the car and that they had received information that two of them were female.
A force spokesman said: "The investigation is still very much open, the reward is still on offer and we're hopeful of getting the break we need."
