Abingdon Town footballer Martin Shepherd hit a magnificent 110 for Kingston Bagpuize, but it was not enough to deny Oxford & Horspath 2nd victory.
Shepherd's ton and an unbeaten 35 from tailender Simon Launder saw Kingston recover from 38-3 to 214-8.
Oxford accelerated from 69-1 at the halfway stage to reach 192-5 with three overs left, and although a wicket fell in each of them, a scrambled single off the last ball took Oxford to a thrilling victory.
