A 21-year-old woman was badly bruised after being savagely beaten by two men.

The woman, who has not been named, was pushed to the ground and assaulted near Ormond Road, Wantage, in front of passers-by.

Wantage Police are puzzled why pedestrians ignored the woman, but urged witnesses to come forward with information on the attack, which took place at 1.45pm on May 24..

Pc Nigel Eighteen said: "We are appealing for anyone who saw the alleged attack to come forward and speak to us. There were a lot of people passing so we know someone must have seen something."
