The creator of Inspector Morse is taking part in a sponsored charity walk and wants volunteers to join him.
Colin Dexter will be among fundraisers in the Diabetes UK Walk in the Park at the University Parks, Oxford.
Colin DexterThe event, at 2pm on June 10, is one of 26 being held across the country to raise funds for diabetes research.
Walkers of any age are welcome. They can walk around the one-and-a-half mile course as many times as they like - and even stop for a picnic.
Event spokesman Tony Pattison said: "We hope that as many people as possible will get involved."
