Witney Roadrunner Gemma Byrne collected a full set of medals in the Andover Young Athletes meeting on Monday.

Competing in the under 15 age group, Byrne won shot put (7.75 metres), was second in the high jump (1.36m) and third in the 75mH with a club record-equalling 13.0.

Also in the hurdles, clubmate Elysia Ridley secured a pb of 13.4secs. Ridley also won the gold medal in the under 15 girls 800m in a time of 2-26.2.

Witney's other two gold medal-winners were Carly Milward, who produced club record figures of 7.16m in the under 13 girls' shot and Katy Chick who ran the under 20 women's 800m in 2.58.

Gavin Bull set a new club best of 1.35m on his way to securing silver medal in the under 13 boys high jump, while his brother, Ashley, set two pbs in the under 15 sprint events with 12.8 in the 100m and 26.7 in the 200m.

In the under 17 sprints, Matt Wheeler set a pb of 12.8 in the 100m heats, while Giray Ketenci ran a club record 11.8 to gain fourth place in the 100m final.

The top Abingdon Amblers performance came from Brendan Fisher in the under 17 400 m where he set a grade three standard time of 53.2 and broke his own club record by 1.9 secs.

In the under 13B 800m, clubmate George Wood's first effort of 2.38.00 was also a grade three standard, which he almost matched in the final (2.38.2) where he finished second.

Steffi Bazylkiewicz, in the under 15s 75m hurdles, set a national grade three standard when clocking 12.9 secs - just 0.2 outside the Amblers' club record - in coming second in the final.

Ruth Hampson broke the under 15 girls 100 metres club record with 14.00 secs.

Oxford City athletes collected nine medals between them, including four golds

These came from under 15 athletes Darren Luke (1500m in 5.03), Tom Gore (100m in 12.1 & 200m in 24.7) and Hannah Avil (long jump with 4.98).
