The only occasion General Election candidates will face each other round the table at Didcot will be a public meeting organised by the town's churches on Friday.

Churches Together in Didcot and District is holding a question and answer session at the Methodist Hall in Broadway at 8pm.

So far, Labour's Stephen Beer, the Greens' David Brooks-Saxl, Liberal Democrat Neil Fawcett and Conservative Robert Jackson have accepted the invitation to attend.

Organisers also hope Count Nicolai Tolstoy of the UK Independence Party will attend.

At the last election, Mr Jackson held the seat with a Conservative majority of 6,039, with Labour runners-up, followed by Liberal Democrat, Referendum Party, Green, and UK Independence.
