Roald Dahl's irresistibly revolting tale of The Twits comes to the Oxford Playhouse next week in a new adaptation by David Wood.
The Twits are the smelly old couple who play ghastly tricks on each other, and then capture and train a family of monkeys when they get bored. Eight youngsters from Oxfordshire will be playing the monkeys, and also the birds that eventually free them from the cage in which the Twits have incarcerated them.
