Unemployed university leaver Tim Ramsdale will be running up more than just his graduate overdraft as he begins training for the New York marathon.
Mr Ramsdale, 22, of Wootton, Woodstock, will be running in aid of the charity Get Kids Going and is looking for sponsorship for the 26.2-mile race.
The charity was set up by Lord Coe and Tanni Grey-Thompson, the wheelchair athlete, for disabled children to get involved in sports.
The New York marathon on November 4 will be Mr Ramsdale's second full-length marathon, his first was in Honolulu last December.
Mr Ramsdale, a psychology graduate of Bristol University, said: "I am well aware of the physical and mental endurance required to complete the course but I am confident that with adequate training and support I will make it to the finish line."
If you wish to sponsor Mr Ramsdale, please call 01993 812306.
