A best pub competition in memory of Ted Payne, who started the Oxford Mail pub quizzes, is under way again.
Pubs in 20 villages in the Thame and Bicester areas can enter the contest, sponsored by Aylesbury Vale District Council. Mr Payne was a member of the district council with his wife Maureen, who set up the competition in his name. Regulars can nominate their favourite pub. Forms are available by calling 01296 585210 and the closing date is July 27.
