Abingdon schoolboy Matthew Burnard got a first-hand look at the way the European Parliament operates during a work experience placement.
He worked in the constituency office of the MEP for Oxfordshire, Mark Watts, in Sittingbourne, Kent.
Matthew then travelled to Brussels by Eurostar to visit the European Parliament where he listened to a debate led by Mr Watts.
He learned about the Parliament and worked on Mr Watts's new website which will be launched this week.
