Oxford United manager Mark Wright has had talks with Neil Ruddock and Dean Saunders as he searches for a big-name signing which would help boost crowds at The Kassam Stadium.
Ruddock, 33, and ex-Oxford United favourite Saunders, now 37, were both with Wright at Liverpool.

It's believed United's new management team wanted to see how fit 'Razor' Ruddock looks before taking the matter further. The former Tottenham, Southampton and Liverpool defender was released at the end of last season by Crystal Palace.
Wright would not confirm his interest in Ruddock, a defender with an imposing physical presence.
"I'm not going to comment on speculation," he said. "All I'll say is that there isn't anything at the moment."
"I need to get more people in to this football club and I'm still hopeful that three players will sign over the next week."
