The Stars and Stripes are fluttering to mark American Independence Day today - and two Abingdon schoolboys have cause for a double celebration.
Luke and Matthew
Luke Corrigan and Matthew Turner, both 12, have been selected to represent England against Scotland in an international American Flag Football match in Sheffield on Saturday.
Luke, from Charney Avenue and Matthew, of Duffield Close, attend Fitzharry's School and are among only 24 youngsters in Oxfordshire who play American Flag Football for the Oxford Saints team at Oxford Rugby Club.
