Coenen scraped home 150-149 against Keith Pearce to clinch a 2-1 victory for Cannons over Riley's A.
Keith Bennett had put Cannons ahead, beating Dave Morgan 150-132, while Jack Woods gained Riley's consolation with a 150-74 victory over Warner Page.
Bob Hayward had his first win of the seasson, but could not stop his Morris Men team losing 2-1 to Wheatley Boys, for whom Andy Moss and Justin Shepherd were victorious.
In the remaining match, Aston beat Riley's B 2-1.
