Yamaha's YZF-R1, the country's top selling large capacity sportsbike, is now available with zero per cent finance, writes Simon Nix.

Despite some stiff competition in 2001, Yamaha's benchmark R1 remains Britain's best selling large capacity sportsbike.

To enable all those who want to own an R1 to be a part of the R-series success story, Yamaha has introduced a new finance deal.

Available at zero per cent over an 18-month period, subsidised rates are also offered over longer periods (of up to 60 months) and all incentives attract a minimum deposit of just £99.

The campaign, which started on May 25, will continue until Sunday July 29.

The revolutionary and multi-award winning YZF-R1 (first introduced in 1998) instantly redefined the supersports class. With its dynamic styling and innovative, benchmark-setting performance, it rapidly rose to the top of the sales charts and has remained there ever since.

Unparalleled success on the racetrack, blended with consistent praise by the press and tremendous performance in the showrooms, has made an indelible mark on motorcycling. In negotiating the finance deal Yamaha have taken a significant step to make the R1 even more affordable to potential owners.
