Top Asian chefs who took part in Oxford's Curry Chef of the Year contest have come in for special praise from one of the judges.

City councillor Suzanna Pressel, who had the delight of sampling the dishes provided by the five finalists from local restaurants, said: "It was a real privilege to take part, and the quality of the food was amazing.

"I can't begin to describe how original and well presented the dishes were. They all excelled themselves."
