Four Oxfordshire lads flew the flag for the county by winning the National Youth Championships held on the New Junction Canal at Doncaster.
Martin Room Jnr, Darren Room, Tim Silvester and Kirk Cooper, representing Oxford Deanery, finished top from 22 teams of four.
The quartet won with 23 points, four points ahead of second place. They all fished feeder with worm/maggot cocktail on the hook.
Oxfordshire anglers will be competing in the Division 4 National on the Basingstoke Canal tomorrow. Canal carp king Ron Barrett was over the moon when he landed a 14.5 golden common from the stretch of the Oxford Canal at Kidlington - and now he's done it again. Ron said: "It's like winning the lottery twice!"
*The first round of the Super League fished from Medley to Folly saw 80 anglers taking part. Henry Golas, of the Isis club, was the winner with five good bream and some bits for a total of 21.14.0.

Yarnton AC's first match of their carp series, fished at Clattercote Reservoir, proved a damp squib with only one fish being landed - a 3oz roach caught by Roy Cox.
Wallingford Jolly Anglers fished a Berks & Oxon match on the Thame at Dorchester on Sunday when ten turned out.
Result: 1 P Cherton 13.12 (5 chub and bits), 2 D Head 4.11, 3 P Ansell 3.11.
Some 150 anglers took part in a 'FishoMania' qualifier along the Thames from Benson to Appleford Reach. Top weight was 14lbs of bream.
Sutton Courtenay AC fished their K Stevens Memorial Cup on the Lower Moors stretch of the Thames at Culham. The river fished poorly for the 12 competitors, only six deciding to weigh in.
Result: 1 A Hewer 10.14.0, 2 P Harrop 5.0.0, 3 P Boyes 3.0.0.
In the latest Oakfield Fishery of the twice-weekly open matches on Swallow Lake, plenty of carp and skimmers were caught. Most of the fish came out on worm or pellet.
Result: 1 P Kay (Advanced Fisherman's Cabins) 62.12.8, 2 M Chappell (Oakfield) 39.3.8, 3 B Eddy (N Oxford Tackle) 32.7.0.
