Bobby and Susan Martin want a child of their own. While on a restorative camping trip, they rescue a tiny, filthy, freezing young boy, whose violent kidnappers quickly come for him.
The Martins somehow appear to be caught up in the brutal murder of a police officer. The threesome must stay one step ahead of a vicious crime ring, and are unsure whether they trust the police. As the couple try to save themselves and the boy, deep emotions about their failed pregnancies come to the surface.
