Banbury Borough BC won the area final of the prestigious EBA National Club Two Fours competition at the Bert Keech Club in York to reach the last four in the country.

In their morning game, Borough faced Shepshed Town from Leicestershire and the rinks skipped by Alan Prew and Greg Moon soon built up a 15-shot advantage.

Greg Moon However, a spirited comeback saw the lead reduced to six shots with only two ends remaining before Banbury held on to win by one shot.

Victory pitted them against Kingsthorpe, Northampton in the afternoon's decider which they won by seven shots to book their place in the national semi-finals at Worthing on August 18.

They are joined by Marlow, Droitwich Spa and Cowes Medina.
