Banbury will be going for their third victory in four years when they face Shipton-under-Wychwood in the Bernard Tollett Oxfordshire Cup final at Bletchingdon on Sunday (10.30am).

While both clubs have pressing league matters in the last month of the season, they are taking this 20-overs competition seriously.

Defending champions Banbury, chasing second spot in the Home Counties League, are missing only middle order batsman Mark Barratt, who has not played a single match in this competition.

Young batsman Tim Smith and expert fielder Ali Moir are included in their squad of 12.

All the big guns such as Craig Haupt, David Taylor and former Engalnd paceman Neal Radford are playing, which makes Banbury strong favourites.

This fact is recognised by Shipton, who are currently leading the way in The Oxford Times Cherwell League.

"I know we're huge underdogs, but we'll give them a game," said Shipton skipper Paul Hemming.

Shane Duff and Craig Lambert are brought in to sharpen up the fielding.

Stewart Gillett comes in for Ian Lewis, who is sidelined by illness, while there is no place for Steve Bates, who has not played in any previous rounds as he works in London.

With such canny cricketers as former Oxon skipper Phil Garner and all-rounder Shaun Miller in their side, in addition to the explosive hitting of Jason Constable, Shipton should give a good account of themselves.

Banbury: from Megson (capt), Haupt, Sabin, Shahbaz Ali, Taylor, Radford, Smith, Rorich, Hill, Adams, J Phillips, Jarvis.

Shipton: Hemming (capt), Constable, Miller, Duff, Gillett, Garner, Jennings, Panter, Snell, Lambert, Cockcroft. 12th man: Senior.
