Abingdon School's Nick Hopkins and Jack Tarrell brought home a gold medal in the coxless fours at the Coupe de la Jeuness event in France.
In all, four local rowers achieved medal success as ten European nations competed for the championship, including a Great Britain squad, who finished second overall.
Ewan Macdonald (Abingdon School) and Oliver Jack (Radley School) won a silver in the eights.
The championship, for junior rowers under 18-and-a-half, is held each year by rotation in one of the competing countries.
