Children are helping a garden centre provide a more humane way of looking after goldfish.
Notcutts in Nuneham Courtenay, south of Oxford, will no longer be selling small goldfish bowls.
And instead petshop manager Natasha Hill has put the bowls to much better use as a bottle garden with the help of Annabelle Edney, aged nine, and sister Louisa, aged six, pictured left with her.
She said: "After reading an article in Practical Fishkeeping magazine about their 'Save the Goldfish Campaign', Notcutts pet centre managers voted to stop selling goldfish in bowls as they were inhumane and there are better ways of housing goldfish."
