An investigation has been launched after a solicitor claimed she was assaulted by a police officer.
Solicitor Lee Reed, of Reeds Solicitors, Aynho Road, Adderbury, near Banbury, has accused a policeman of striking her at Bicester police station on Tuesday, July 31.
Mrs Reed said the incident happened as she was trying to help a client.
She said: "I have made a complaint to the police and have consulted my own solicitors and counsel."
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police confirmed that a complaint had been received from a local solicitor and that the matter was being investigated by their professional standards department.
