Cholsey Community Car Service has been launched after a successful trial period. The service, for residents over 60, offers a transport service for people who have difficulties travelling to surgeries, opticians, dentists or other appointments.
The cost of transport, which can also be used for shopping trips or visiting friends, is 25p per mile.
The scheme does not compete with any existing public services.
Inquiries about the service should be made to co-ordinator Mary Wooliston on 01491 651768.
