Claire Scott loves telling her boyfriend where to go, especially when he's driving his car.
But it's not as bad as it sounds because Claire is a rally navigator.
The 23-year-old has just been handed a brace of awards for her high-speed endeavours after coming top in the stage rally championship and being named newcomer of the year by the Oxford Motor Club.
She said: "Obviously it raises a few eyebrows being a woman in a male- dominated sport but I think the award proves to people that I can be up there competing with the best."
Her hair-raising hobby began only a year ago when boyfriend Eliott Dunmore - a seasoned rally driver - was struggling to find a co-driver.
She said: "I told him I'd give it a go and ended up loving every minute of it.
"Now I'm navigating on every drive for him. And more often than not I need to tell him when he really needs to start applying the brakes!"
