A controversial scheme to demolish two houses and 91 surrounding trees was being discussed today by Oxford city councillors.
Rain forest expert Dr Norman Myers, a fellow at Green College, has applied to knock down both his and his neighbour's homes, Upper Meadow and Quarry Bank, in Old Road, Headington, to build four blocks of flats. The plans have prompted objections from neighbours.
