Sixty-two drivers have been given the chance of attending an education evening instead of being fined after they were caught speeding in 30mph and 40mph zones during morning rush hours.
Thames Valley Police traffic officers targeted two sites in Deddington and roads in Lower Heyford and Middle Barton last week after complaints from residents.
The speed traps netted 84 drivers exceeding speed limits.
Of these, 62 were only marginally above the limit and were given the choice of attending a speed awareness evening on Tuesday - instead of a £60 fine and three penalty points on their driving licence.
If they take up the offer, police will not proceed with their tickets.
Drivers going significantly in excess of the limit were not given the option of having their ticket rescinded.
Oxfordshire County Council's road safety officer Ian Harris gave a presentation to motorists who attended the event.
