Businesses in Oxfordshire will be able to research potential new markets in Europe, thanks to a service offered by the Thames Valley European Information Centre (EIC), part of the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

The aim of the service is to give businesses easier and quicker access to the latest European statistical information, such as trade figures, demographics, consumer data, research, health, innovation, and environmental figures.

Information Manager Barbara Moye said: "This exciting new project will open up new markets for businesses by giving them access to a huge range of European statistics.

"Whether businesses want to know how many households own a computer in France, or the average income across the EU, the EIC can find out."

The EIC, sponsored by BAA Heathrow, has been selected as the only UK representative in this project to deliver statistics direct to clients.
