Two women were hit, one in the face, by youths shooting an airgun in Oxford.
The shots were fired as the women were leaving Tesco on the Oxford Retail park at Cowley at 2pm on Tuesday.
The two youths, believed to be aged 12 or 13, were standing on the opposite side of the road, by the Travelodge.
One of the women was hit in the face and the other was hit twice on her body. Neither was seriously injured.
The youths also fired at passing motorists and parked cars.
Police believe the same boys were responsible for shooting a lorry with an airgun pellet in Cowley Road, Oxford, shortly after the Tesco incident. Both boys had crew-cut hair. One wore blue clothing and the other had a striped top.
