A teenager was given the surprise of his life when an MTV film crew interrupted a church service where he was playing guitar and asked him to interview his favourite band - the Fun Lovin' Criminals.
Doug Hale, 16, was playing bass guitar with his band, Anubis, at the Fleet Meadow Baptist Church in Jubilee Way, Didcot on Sunday when the crew arrived.
Doug HaleThe satellite channel had invited viewers to call in to say why they wanted to interview their favourite band and Doug applied.
Doug, who lives in Crafts End, Chilton, near Didcot, was whisked away by limousine to the Grange Rochester Hotel in London to interview the Fun Lovin' Criminals.
His father, Steve Hale, said: "The producer told me he wanted to surprise Doug doing whatever he did on a Sunday. I said he would be playing in a church, there was a pause, and he said 'I like that'.
"The timing was excellent, Doug was just playing the last chords when they came in.
"It was a treat to see his face. He was so surprised."
The programme and interview will be shown on MTV and on Channel 4 in October.
