A former copytaker for the Oxford Mail has raised £200 for cancer related charities during a sponsored slim.
Jean Jensen, of Old Road, Headington, works part-time for Salters Bros Ltd, at Folly Bridge in Oxford, and has been raising money for charity for over 20 years with her sponsored diets. She said: "Every New Year I go on a diet and raise money for whichever charity I choose at the time."
Mrs Jensen has already lost over 30 lbs. "I'm trying to lose another 10-15 lbs", she said.
Jean JensenHer friends at the Inter Varsity Club, which organises a big walk every Sunday, showed their support by sponsoring her.
Mrs Jensen plans to donate the money raised equally between Douglas House, in East Oxford and cancer research groups.
