Carterton scored a convincing victory over old rivals West Witney to win the 80th Preston Cup tournament at Abingdon.
After the original date for the final, scheduled for last Thursday, was abandoned due to rain, there was another delay of nearly an hour before Sunday's proceedings got under way at Abingdon's Albert Park.
And the Carterton team, consisting of Robbie Clanfield (captain), Stuart Richens, Sam Timms and Gordon Walker, were in no mood to be messed with, continuing their sparkling form to beat West Witney 24-8 in the local derby.
As well as the trophy, the winning team received prize money totalling £260.
Semi-finals: Carterton 26, Morland A 9; West Witney 19, Lambourn 10
