Oxfordshire will be fielding a far from full strength side for their final Minor Counties Championship match of the season against Herefordshire at Banbury, starting on Sunday.
Trouble getting time off work has ruled out batsmen Keith Mustow and Charlie Knightley and seamer Ian Adams.
Twins Phil and Ian Evans are committed to playing for Oxfordshire in the Under 23 Four Counties Festival in Hertfordshire from Wednesday to Friday next week, and so could not get time off to play for the full county side as well.
Keith Mustow is unable to make it to Sunday's match Veteran seamer Keith Arnold and skipper Rob Williams will definitely play as Oxfordshire seek to record their first Western Division win of the season.
"We've not be able to field our strongest side in any game this season," said Oxon team secretary Pete O'Neill. "It's not at all satisfactory."
Herefordshire will start favourites, following their shock win over Middlesex in the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy this season.
Play starts at noon on Sunday, 11am on Monday and 10.30am on Tuesday.
*Last Sunday's Bernard Tollett Oxfordshire Cup final between Banbury and Shipton-under-Wychwood at Bletchingdon was postponed because of persistent heavy rain. It is hoped to play the game in September at a venue to be arranged.
