Rachel Heal will carry the main local hopes in the the National Women's Road Race being held on the Bucks-Oxfordshire border tomorrow.
The Oxford-based Heal (WCPP) is expected to feature strongly, following her win the Clieve's Hill road race last weekend.
Other favourites from the national squad include the defending champion Ceris Gilfillian and Sara Symington fresh from the national track championships in Manchester.
Using a course with headquarters at Oakley Village Hall, the riders proceed down the B4011before turning left to Chilton, and then taking in six laps of a tough circuit-based on Chilton, Chearlsey, Ashendon and Dorton for a total distance of 65 miles.
The finish will be on the long climb out of Dorton. The women's race starts at 1.30pm, after the junior men's race has taken place, starting at 9.30am.
*Tony Hermon (Oxford City) won the latest event in the Mid-Oxon Tuesday Time Trial Series by nearly a minute from student, James Hanson in the race from Eynsham.
