An Abingdon man has been cautioned by police after Leeds United football club chairman Peter Ridsdale was targeted in a hate-mail campaign.
The 40-year-old from Abingdon was cautioned under Section 2 of the 1997 Harassment Act on Saturday, after being interviewed in Leeds.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said the man, who has not been named, had not been charged with any offences.
Police said they are not investigating anyone else from Oxfordshire.
Mr Ridsdale received mail threatening his wife and children over a proposal to build a stadium away from the club's Elland Road base.
Several letters and cards were sent to Mr Ridsdale's home and to the Elland Road ground were signed 'Oxford Whites' - a rogue group not affiliated with the official supporters' club.
An Oxfordshire man walked into Abingdon police station offering to help with inquiries last Monday after West Yorkshire Police launched an investigation.
