Westbury took a big step towards winning the Division 1 championship with a six-wicket victory over Garsington on Saturday, while rain hampered their nearest rivals.
Garsington set a useful target of 164-8, but a consistent batting display, led by Curley's 67 saw Westbury home despite the all-round efforts of Graham Wakefield for the losers.
Second-placed Hanborough were hit by the rain, although they seemed to be struggling against Brill at the time.
Brill made 186-4, thanks to Simmons's half-century and reduced their opponents to 57-4 when the weather intervened.
Steve Godfrey helped Brill to bowl out Oxford Rescue for 99Yesterday, Brill secured a six-wicket victory over lowly Oxford Rescue, who slumped to 99 all out against the bowling of Cavanagh (6-26), who was well supported by Steve Godfrey (3-38).
Both yesterday's cup finals fell victim to the weather.
The Steve Dixon Memorial Cup final between Clifton Hampden and Chesterton at Kennington, and the Osberton Radiators Cup decider Uffington and Letcombe at Marcham have both been rearranged for next Sunday.
