Some keen racing will be taking place on Bank Holiday Monday (August 27) with the annual Donkey Derby on Sandford Field in Bampton.
The derby is staged by the village's Society for the Preservation of Ancient Junketing, which raises money for pensioners.
Other attractions will include a book sale, including 500 books published this year in fiction and non-fiction, a white elephant stall, crockery smashing, and bowling for a meat voucher.
Money raised on the day will pay for an outing to Bournemouth for pensioners from the village.
