Dog walkers and wheelchair-users will find it easier to get around a nature reserve thanks to two new footbridges.
The bridges link Didcot's Mowbray Field nature reserve with a fieldpath leading to neighbouring East Hagbourne.
Volunteers John Gunn, David Goodall, Kate Mallard and Martin Jakes
The work has been carried out largely by volunteers from the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers and cost £1,000.
Spokesman Martin Jakes said: "The bridges cover a ditch and stream at the southern end of Loyd Road."
David Goodall, of the Mowbray Field Conservation Group, said: "Previously, walkers had to use very poor cross-planking. It was unsuitable for wheelchairs."
The work is part of a programme of improvements to the nature reserve including a wild flower meadow.
Mr Jakes appealed for local volunteers to help build paths during the weekends of September 22 and 23 and October 13 and 14 from 10am-4pm.
