A nightclub DJ is furious that he was kicked off his last bus home and forced to walk one-and-a-half hours through Oxford at night - because he was not wearing a top.
Jossy Slade, 25, took off his top because of the hot weather before attempting to catch the 7A Stagecoach Oxford bus near his home in Quarry High Street, Headington.
It was after 11pm and he was accompanying his girlfriend, Josey Pavey, to her home in Rectory Road, off St Clement's.
Jossy SladeWhen the bus arrived the driver told Mr Slade he could not let a topless man on to the bus and ordered him off.
Mr Slade, a DJ regular in Oxford clubs, said: "I got on and remonstrated with the driver but I didn't want to make a scene so I got off.
"It was only later I realised it was the last bus to Josey's house."
The couple were forced to walk 45 minutes across town to Miss Pavey's home, Mr Slade then turned around and walked back to his house.
Mr Slade said: "I called Stagecoach the next day and they said they didn't have any clue about that.
"As far as I'm concerned you have to walk a lady home, but I had to get up for work the next day and I had to walk around for one-and-a-half hours that night."
George Fair, operations manager with Stagecoach Oxford, apologised for the mistake.
He added: "As far as we are concerned the matter has been dealt with. As a gesture of goodwill, we have given him a voucher which provides him with two days access to the whole of our network, which I think is quite reasonable."
