And for those with young children, the adult education centre is offering St John life-saver for babies, which will teach you what to do for your child in an emergency.

The book group starts up again in September and is reading My Antonia by Willa Cather.

A short course for those interested in tracing their family history is also running.

A family weekend away to Yenworthy, North Devon, has been organised, where families can try activities such as abseiling, surfing and mountain biking.
