Signs of success for a small Kidlington company include moving into a larger office and doubling staff numbers.
Sign Design started from scratch ten years ago, cutting vinyl to make simple signs. Four years later, it set up a sister company called A to Z Design and Print.
Now the two companies at 29 Banbury Road employ eight people. Sign Design makes signs and labels for local authorities, clubs and societies, manufacturers, and individuals.
A to Z Design and Print produces local community publications, business cards, letter heads, wedding stationery and programmes, as well as laminating and comb binding.
Boss of Sign Design Trevor Prestige said: "We're playing musical shops here. Sign Design moved from 23 Banbury Road, and A to Z moved from No 27. Now both businesses are in No 29, in premises six times the size." Trevor Prestige, left, is in charge of Sign Design, making vinyl signs, metal road type signs, shop facias, and vehicle graffics.
Now the company is branching out to produce printed shirts, mugs, and promotional goods.
A to Z, under boss Stuart Roach, sells goods that children need for going back to school, as well as photocopying.
